@Kamal Harrison its nothing drastic it moves a player from 20 to maybe 12 or 28 depending on how they do. Unless ur stupid like the giants and take a guy WAYYYYY b4 He should go

    • Kamal Harrison

      Tháng trước

@Andrew Hoyle yeah there's a technique you can add 0.2 to your 40 just by training but it's given that everyone trains so with everyone at peak level if a RB looks fast in college but runs a 4.5 like Gaskin did you know he's an average NFL RB speed but if they look fast in college like Tyreek did (they moved him to WR) then know he's actually special in NFL too. Then some positions like WR and HB are hard to draft anyway. Talent is number 1 thing but combine can make you go "maybe I'll take him next round" or "maybe he's more athletic than I thought". It'll move a guy up or down a couple spots and the crazy mock draft guys move them up or down 2 rounds just because they don't know talent and GMs get pressured into following mock draft because if you do what Giants did and draft a guy at 6 that's supposed to be at 60 it's your fault and not the players fault if they succeed or bust and you can lose your job over that. I think it's mainly to confirm what they see on tape and Metcalf if he ran a 4.5 he'd have fallen even further because he'd be viewed as a slower N'Keal Harry with less experience

@Kamal Harrison like ur answer theirs a long list of fast people that ha terrible 40s. Michael Jordan had a 4.6 he was so pissed by it he worked on it till he timed at 4.3 a yr later. It seems to be happening less and less that workout warriors are going higher than the production says they should cuz teams are starting to be aware of it. Thx

Seattle snagged a steal in the draft by picking him up. With Doug Baldwin failing to pass his physical, they needed another target that could shake defenders loose and put together some crafty route running. While DK's strengths are clearly those four routes mentioned, they have Tyler Lockett on the other side, and they turned him loose last season to career high numbers and a perfect passer rating on his targets. The coaches and OC clearly have a lot of trust in the skill sets of their players, and have found a playbook that can maximize their success. Having these two, and the running game of Carson and Penny, and the ever present threat of Russell Wilson tucking the ball and running it for a first down, this offense has gotten scary good. I can't wait to see how they fare this season, especially now that they're adding Ziggy Ansah to the defensive line, and they're taking the training wheels off Shaquem Griffin to be a rocket off the weak side. I'm excited!

That’s true what your saying that Seattle’s receiving core is depleted...he’s gunna have do ALOT more the go’s n slants...cuz teams will find ways to take that away...ESPECIALLY when your the prime target....with Baldwin gone...they don’t have the position guy...that came slip out in coverage....I don’t think DK will be that guy....because of his stiffness inability to sink n engage quickly....he will get double a lot...until he can beat the coverages...n as far as CJ comparison he ran complete route’s digs bang. 8, slants, comebacks...there’s no comparison there jus size...Johnson was his route running...go back n watch his tape...DK got ALOT to prove....but I love your vids tho...very have a rare talent...wish you the best!....👍

  6. Ronstopable01

    7 ngày trước

He’s a one trick pony....he’s 3 cone was awful for a guy that big n athletic....what happens when they double you with a safety deep...he needs to learn to run a complete route tree....not jus a 9 route...he doesn’t change direction very well...he can’t sink his hips n disengage to show fluidity...he’s got a lot of work to do to show that he can be a complete route runner...a lot of teams passed on him for that reason...u need to be complete to compete at a high level....Debo would have been a better option...

What the hell did I just read the caption in this video how dare you mention Calvin Johnson's name in the same breath as this kid the only thing he has is a trait similar to Calvin they both ran fast and that's it cause Calvin Johnson was a catch machine in college and a touchdown machine and Megatron was never bottled up like DK was in a ton of the games they played this year and which is crazy to think he had another stud NFL prospect on the other side of the field taking away double coverage from him in AJ Brown which he was drafted 51th ahead of DK Metcalf 64th so DK wasn't even the best WR on Ole Miss so before you come up with something like this he needs a couple years to get his feet wet in the NFL then you come back out and say he's similar to Calvin Johnson AKA Megatron #Never a Bad Option

DK runs a 4.33 at the underwear Olympics but runs the 3 cone and shuttle slower than Tom Brady's times. There's no way DK is even mentioned in the same sentence. I still say AJ Brown is better. He can run the route tree and can play inside or out. AJ and DK had the same QB but look at the stat difference between them. Edit: DK goes to the Hawks, he got a good QB and it's gonna take the entire secondary to tackle him. Idk how I feel. I'm on the fence with this kid. Great video tho.

I was really concerned when rumours about Doug Baldwin's retirement started looming. He's been such a star player for the Hawks, looking like Steve Smith Jr. out there, juking around guys at the line, and making circus catches with the tips of his gloves. Lockett is promising, and the fact that Schottenheimer recognized his ability to read defenses WHILE running his routes, gave him and Russell an opportunity to exploit coverage by choosing logical combos after the snap (something Brett has discussed on this channel before). So that willingness to let the players make decisions in their game plan, and a quarterback with such accuracy and trust like Russell Wilson can really give this kid a boost. Carson, Penny, Wilson, Lockett, Metcalf, Dissly, Dickson, Vannett, and an improved offensive line - I have trust that the Seahawks can make significant use of that. Now, if the defense can get stops and turnovers, and they can pick up a decent kicker to replace Janikowski, they'll be laughing all the way into January.

Comparing players to other players is folly. Any time I hear someone say... " Oh, he's the next Reggie White, or Brett Favre, Marshawn Lynch...or Steve infinitum... I shut off and stop listening. When it comes to legendary type players, making comparisons is absolutely pointless. Every player that rises above the pack is unique. There is something about them that no one else can replicate. It's physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual. All you can do is assert an approximation for a general description so anyone listening to you might get a vague idea of what you might think of the player. So, that being said, I agree that Calvin Johnson is about as close as you can get for a generalization that can give a listener an idea of what you might have in Metcalf. As a Seahawks fan, naturally I want him to be Superman. But until we get to see him in game action after he has been through training camp and coaches have had him under their tutelage , we know nothing. I like your examination of the player. For the most part it's very practical and makes sense. It seems like a good fit, and having Russell Wilson, probably the best long ball QB in the world, is about as ideal a situation as I can think of. Thanks for the summary. But forgive me if I largely ignore the comparisons.

With 6 Superbowl wins in 17 years the Pats are surely "the most dominant franchise" in American football, but not "in professional sports". Other professional sports teams such as several European soccer teams like Bayern Muenchen, Juventus Turin and Real Madrid, have won far more national titles. Add to that several international titles, which don't even exist in American football because it's not played professionally on an international level.

So the fact that you failed to mention his 50% catch percentage in college not to mention he goes to ole miss who doesn’t have the best competition when he played against LSU he was 3 for 8 with 3 drops when greedy Williams was on him. When a good corner was in him he was terrible only 2 catches against greedy, and on those catches greedy was playing zone and was backed off of Metcalf. You cannot teach hands it’s sad but true. You might be able to teach concentration but that’s hardly the problem it’s just his hands. Not to mention when greedy played press against DK he dropped 2 passes. I keep going back to greedy because Greedy is an elite college corner will it transfer in the nfl? Who knows, and to top it all off he’s injury prone. I usually agree with you but you’re definitely reaching with this one DK will be nothing close to Calvin
