ha thats the pot calling the kettle black! fox = shallow and yet hilarious 😂 and so is this fox network saying, at the end of the day its about entertainment, in this regard they have to be correct. as its ted turners 24 hour news cycle proved. but everyone knows this or should know this. i think this is why fox is successful. sensationalism= more watchers. well of course they are boring now in 2019, but it played for awhile didnt it. 🤣

"The box that I exist in has always been around...but I'd like to know what I'm doing that's really different than what you've seen previously from satirical comedians that work in the political milieu." Stewart's command of the language and ability in real time to think, debate, and to state so clearly and logically his beliefs is impressive. I appreciated watching this civil and thoughtful exchange even though it occurred so many years ago.

Chris Wallace is the closest thing to a centralist on Fox News Network. I give him way more credit for the fact that he seems to have a soul and is willing to call out the GOP on stupid. Unlike the rest of FOX.

I think Chris W, hasbeen coming over to John's side of the street. Not necessarily in this "interview", but nowadays he is much better at honestly seeing things much differently then he did in the bulk of his FOX years. Chris is, these days, in my opinion, much more like his dad was. And that's a good thing.

Chris Wallace is trying to compare apples to oranges. Jon Stewart is a COMEDIAN, who hosted a political parody COMEDY show. It wasn't News. Chris Wallace keeps playing clips from Jon Stewart's show, trying to play, "Got Ya!" when the FIRST leap, (that it's a false comparison,) has ALREADY taken any wind out of his argument. It doesn't matter how many times your opponent stumbles and falls during the race when you've already started running before the gun shot! It's been BULLSHIT since the first clip, and stopped being a meaningful, "debate," before it even started.

Wallace tried to relentlessly badger Stewart. But the greatest point JS made was that people like himself have existed forever. It has just gotten easier because there's video now, and people can clearly see the hypocrisy. Plus, Wallace pretended he was so serious, he couldn't see the humor in South Park. He gets negative points for that.

They never really get down to the fundamental ideological gulf between Wallace and Stewart. Religion. All Fox's programming is biased toward people who embrace a 'god' philosophy, and those who either say they 'don't know' or flat-out don't believe in a man in the sky. Today's conservatives are rooted in the same mire that their forbears were, that being a deep, fundamental fear of pissing off a guy in the sky who can consign them to flames if they do not follow 'his' agenda. I would bet the ranch that there isn't but an handful of Fox viewers who are atheists. Ergo, atheists are liberals? Where did that originate?

Jon Stewart - "Fox viewers are consistently misinformed - look at the polls - EVERY POLL" ---- Fast Forward To 2016.... EVERY POLL ON EVERY NEWS CHANNEL OTHER THAN FOX NEWS.... HILLARY HAS A 90% CHANCE OF WINNING THE ELECTION - -- fast forward again to 2019 -- TRUMP IS GOING TO BE IMPEACHED FOR TREASON AND WORKING FOR THE RUSSIANS AND WILL BE HUNG UNTIL HE IS DEAD - DEAD - DEAD -- .... and only Fox followed the FACTS and was CORRECT. NO COLLUSION - NO OBSTRUCTION. Period.... Jon Stewart is a political leftist hack that has always been scared to cross the left - because he'd lose his shitty career.

I am so incredibly jealous of Jon's ability to debate and clearly state all of his points without exaggeration, without flying off the handle, and without being unable to admit he's wrong from time to time. I would've loved to have had him as a teacher, a professor, or even a father, because this is the kind of man I wish I were right now. The most surprising thing to me while watching this video though is the fact that my ADD brain is managing to absorb all this information, though it's not necessarily important information anymore, as this interview is nearly eight years old at this point.

Its surreal watching this 8 years later after seeing how things have gone. Stewart saying he wouldn't call the MSM "propaganda machines" in 2011, yet that's exactly what they were and are today. In a way he was part of it too. What a shame, I was a fan of his when I was younger. Didn't think I'd see the day where FOX news makes more sense than the other networks. I appreciate that he asked tough questions but then he failed when he didn't allow Jon to respond and fairly debate. This was his weakest showing to date. I always find it strange that conservatives get so bent out of shape about the "liberal bias" of many comedians, (and other entertainers) as if they should be behaving like impartial journalists and giving each side "equal time." Comedians and political satirists are not "news," and they have a perfect right to call things as they see them. People don't have to like it, or think it's funny, but it isn't about being "biased." It's about having opinions. Which is totally allowed. Free speech, if you will. The issue with Fox News is that they deliberately blur the lines between news-casting and opinion/commentary, so that their viewers can't even tell the difference. And now, in the age of Trump, (with the possible exception of Chris Wallace and Shep Smith), they are a full-on propaganda machine. I wonder what Chris Wallace thinks now of his precious "fair and balanced" news channel.
