MMA fighters in the UFC receive only 10-15% of revenues vs. ~50% in other sports. There is a reason NBA/NFL caliber athletes don't go into MMA. Who wants to risk their lives for peanuts? It's a fucking joke.

The NBA and NFL saw ratings dips, just because key players were being rested, and then they forced the teams to play those players regardless? That's insane... If a player needs resting then they need resting, that's the point of a squad.

18 year olds should not play 82 game schedules. The light schedule at the collegiate level is good to season the athletes, they can improve their games, pursue intellectual endevours, and just be a young person. There are pro leagues that will pay these kids to play. The NCAA does not and should not pay for play.

The UFC doesn't even need a Dana White. How many times has that man's emotions got in the way of setting up championship fights, and not truly supporting the life and blood of the organization, the fighters. There's a reason fighters like Eddie Alvarez, Mighty Mouse, and Sage Northcutt have chosen to compete in Japan, and not stay with the UFC.

Boxing isn’t dying. Tyson fury is worth more than Connor McGregor already. The ufc has a good amount to learn from boxing as well. The fighters in the ufc are criminally underpaid. The fans are often the winners in the ufc, while it’s much rarer in boxing where the boxer(s, when it’s not rigged) is the winner financially. Both sports have some lessons to pick up from one another. Having a more centralized body would create boxing dominance and at the same time, the fighters in MMA need to be paid much better.

I'm a fan of both mma and boxing, and the majority of fights on an MMA cards are competitive but you're lucky if you get two competitive fights on most boxing cards. Boxers spend way too long fighting opponents they can easily beat and it's expected that the biggest competeitive fights will always have to marinade for a few years before even being talked about. E.G Spence and Crawford in the welterweight division, Wilder and AJ. It has got a lot better recently though and more big fights being made but not THE big fights.

Sure... Get Dana White and treat your fighters like shit. Play favorites with fighters instead of using a true ranking system and sticking to it. Promoting some fighters while trashing a few because he just doesnt get along with regardless if they are a fan favorite and have earned his respect. He gives whoever he wants a rematch but in the same damn situation, fighters he doesnt like have to earn a rematch. He's a total piece of shit, arrogant mofo with an ego bigger than his big gorilla bald head. He lets his personal opinions and feelings dictate who fights who instead sticking to some sort of ranking system. He has gotten rich off the blood, sweat and tears of everyone who has ever faught for the UFC. He should have all ready created a fund that recieves a small % of the gross profits to he used for retired players, R&D to make the sport safer... Basically like the NFL does... A real organization. As long as he is running everything its just gonna be the Dana White Show instead of a true organization. Its just a bunch of filthy rich greedy aholes who dont give a shit about the fighters, the history being mad and for the entire world of mixed martial arts and what it all means to the fans. If they would just fire that dickhead and his ego... The sport and league would be 1000× better over night!

Teddy Atlas is WRONG. The problem with boxing is that it is decentralized i.e. every single boxer is practically in his own league. All he needs is to get popular, get a TV/Streaming platform, and he can pick and choose who he fights to entertain his fans. Basically, boxing is like VNchannel channels. Every individual can create his fans base and platform, get sponsors and eat comfortably. While other sports are like major television networks such as ABC, FOX and etc. They have a central focus of power, and fans will not accept anything outside that central power. In fact, by refusing to pay fighters like elite athletes, the UFC is only pushing MMA further and further towards the boxing model. It is only a matter of time before MMA fighters get recognized under the Ali Act, and the UFC starts to lose its monopoly.

Actually right now boxing is putting on better fights than mma. Spence vs Garcia, Canelo vs Jacobs, Crawford vs Khan, and Pacqioua vs Thurman are all better fights than any UFC fights on the calendar. Theres this false notion that the UFC gives the fans every fight they want when we got no Jon Jones vs Prime Anderson Silva, we got no GSP vs Prime Anderson Silva, we got not Rampage vs Anderson Silva etc but we got Stephan Boner and Forest Griffin vs Anderson Silva smh. GSP and Khabib both wanted to fight but Dana stopped it smh, if we want to see a fight between a fighter signed with the Ufc and a fighter thats not it cant happen unless the fighter thats not signs a 5 fight contract with the UFC, while in boxing if fighters are not with the same promotion they can still make a fight. MMA is more like pro wrestling back in the wcw wwf days lol
